Whether it’s a Fortune 500 company or a mom-and-pop shop, both have this in common: They are vulnerable to cyberattacks.

According to Gov. Ned Lamont, the campaign’s theme, “Say Yes to Connecticut,” was born out of the Office of Tourism’s research that shows a growing sense of optimism among Northeast consumers amid the Covid-19 vaccine rollout and pent-up demand for travel.

Millstone Power Station, which is owned by Dominion Energy, is producing an abundance of carbon-free electricity for the state. It also serves as a tremendous jobs and economic driver for the region.

Is social media helping or hurting society?

College can be stressful enough, but add a pandemic in the mix, and it was a true endeavor for students this last year.

But Skye Trotter, our MCG intern this semester from the University of Hartford, never let the circumstances slow her down. After graduating this month, she’ll be working as a Digital Marketing Associate for a corporate law firm, Frost Law, located in Annapolis, Maryland.

The progress in combating Covid-19 continues to be encouraging, but variants remain a looming threat.

The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) and Yale University have been actively engaged in SARS-CoV-2 variant screening and sequencing in Connecticut, and have been working closely with the state’s Department of Public Health Lab to help identify and monitor the emergence of variants.

If you don’t trust the messenger, why would you listen to the message?

Connecticut public health professionals believe that’s why certain groups are reluctant to get the Covid-19 vaccine. These populations include younger adults, native Spanish speakers, and communities of color.

A pat on the back for Connecticut: Sixty percent of those 16 and older have received at least the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. We’re leading the country — go, nutmeggers!

But we still haven’t reached the coveted stage of herd immunity, and there’s a long way to go.
