The Jackson Laboratory to Begin COVID-19 Testing

On Thursday, March 19th, The Jackson Laboratory announced it will use its resources and technologies to begin diagnostic testing for COVID-19 in Connecticut starting next week.

The announcement comes as the state is trying to ramp up testing for the new coronavirus. The Jackson Laboratory, a leader in human health research for the past 90 years, has stepped forward to help combat this pandemic.

“Today’s partnership with The Jackson Laboratory, the Department of Public Health, UConn Health and Hartford HealthCare will provide diagnostic testing at a time when we need it most. By having an increased testing capacity at our disposal, Connecticut will be able to be more proactive against this illness,” said Governor Ned Lamont. “This collaborative effort is also a reminder that we are all in this together and so many are stepping up in our state in a big way.”
