Advice for 2022 College Graduates

Congratulations to all the recent college graduates! While you’re certain to hear sage advice at your commencement ceremonies, here’s guidance from some MCG staff as you begin your new path.

  • “The best advice for a college graduate is to be proactive and reach out to family, friends, and acquaintances to let them know you have graduated and are looking for a job. Ask them to please let you know of any job opportunities or other people you should connect with.” - Becca Brockway, Vice President

  • "Do your best to maintain the relationships you've made throughout college. Your peers/mentors may think of you when an opportunity arises." - Sabrina Rivera, Director of Social and Digital Media

  • “Be confident in your abilities and your potential, but be humble.” - Maura Fitzgerald, Senior Vice President

  • “Carefully proofread everything you submit, whether it’s your resume, a writing sample, or the handwritten thank you note you might consider mailing after an interview.” - Duby McDowell, President
