March 20 is the official start of spring, but this year it will bring much more than warm weather and flowers.
Connecticut will dramatically roll back its Covid-19 restrictions on March 19. Starting then, restaurants can increase capacity from 50% to 100% and the state’s travel restrictions will be lifted.
So if you’re considering seeing friends and family and enjoying a meal not cooked by you, let us also suggest an entertainment option.
The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center (“the Kate”) will present a weekend of live music from March 26 through March 28. Our friends at the Kate have faced the challenge of being a venue that relies on live, in-person events. Now is the perfect time to support this state treasure and have some fun while doing it.
The weekend’s entertainment features “Ticket to Ride,” an authentic tribute to The Beatles. The show is complete with costume changes and spot-on three-part vocal harmonies.
Tickets are extremely limited with no more than 85 being sold per performance. All patrons will be required to wear masks and there will be no intermissions.
For more information on attendee rules or to purchase tickets, please visit www.thekate.org or call 860-510-0453.
Hope to see you there, and with a little luck, without wearing winter coats.
