MJC Hires Sarah Miner

McDowell Jewett Communications, a leading communications and public affairs firm based in Hartford, Connecticut, has hired Sarah Miner as Director of Social Media & Digital Content.

Miner will oversee the integration of clients’ social platforms, supervise content creation, and develop integrated strategies to help support marketing initiatives.

Miner comes to MJC from All Points Digital where she developed social strategy to support clients’ online sales and engagement. Her previous jobs include working with the Connecticut-based Independent Media Network where she managed digital sales, advertising and social communications for local online publishers. She brings to MJC a background in digital media and journalism; she worked for both corporate news media at NBC Universal and locally-focused WNPR. She currently is an adjunct professor of social media and community management at Quinnipiac University.

“Sarah was ahead of the wave when it comes to digital and social media. She has a strong reputation in Connecticut as a social media pioneer,” says MJC’s founder, Duby McDowell. “We are thrilled that she is bringing her experience to MJC.”

Miner is also an accomplished vocalist who recently released her first EP It's Alright With Me.  With roots in the theatre, she has performed across the United States from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles to Off-Broadway in New York City, and has been hailed by the New York Times as "making a particular impression" as one of the "promising voices on display.” She lives in West Hartford, Connecticut with her husband and two children.
