Chris Murphy Elected to the U.S. Senate from Connecticut

Duby McDowell Communications (DMC) is pleased to congratulate client Chris Murphy on his successful bid for the United States Senate.

Murphy, a Democrat from Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District, beat Republican Linda McMahon 55%-43% after a campaign in which McMahon spent $50 million dollars of her own money.

DMC served as media advisors to the Murphy campaign.

“This was an incredibly hard-fought campaign,” said Steve Jewett, Senior Partner at DMC. “Senator-elect Murphy faced a strong primary opponent and then the war chest of Linda McMahon, derived from her years at World Wresting Entertainment. Chris’ grasp of the issues and his past commitment to the state brought home this victory. It was a privilege to work with him and we are excited about his future representing Connecticut as its next US Senator.”
